Who We Are

HII Mission Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Interface Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for defining, documenting, and managing the interfaces between various hardware and software systems within complex defense and technology projects. This role requires a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple disciplines to ensure seamless integration and functionality.

This position is contingent upon contract award.

What You Will Do

Performs engineering functions in one or more of the following specialties : electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil, naval, and / or chemical.

Review engineering drawings and documentation on CI / NDI and MILSPEC equipment.

Senior lead to Interface with equipment In-Service Engineering Agencies (ISEA), Combat Systems Engineering Agents (CSEA) and Software Support Activities (SSA) as required.

What You Must Have

5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; or 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field. 4 years of additional equivalent experience can be substituted for a BA / BS

Candidate must be a recent graduate with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or graduating college senior who is in good academic standing and pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering. Bachelor's of Science Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required prior to starting employment.

Candidate must have experience to resolving interface design problems.

Candidate must have experience with components and systems interface through cables.

Candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Candidate must have the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.

Bonus Points For Having!

Experience in resolving element, multi-element, and weapon or combat system hardware, interface, and interoperability issues.

Experience with selecting cable types, understanding of cabling that is approved for shipboard use and the standards and requirements for shipboard cabling with respect to interface of electrical / electronic component, and development of cable run sheets in addition to cable / connector selections based on interface requirements.

Physical Requirements

Office, industrial or shipboard environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances. Lifting and moving of materials not to exceed the guidelines set for one man lift.
