Must-Have : Familiarity with total joints and cesarean sections. Experience with MAKO robot is a plus.

Description :

Department : Operating Room

Certifications Required : BLS and UAP - CST or NCCT preferred

No clinical involvement

Fit testing / facial hair : If a clinician has facial hair, they must pass fit test.

A Portacount test cannot be completed on clinicians with facial hair.

Contract may be canceled if facial hair cannot be removed.

Number of Suites : 6 operating rooms, 1 GI suite

Common Cases : Adult, Pediatric, Geriatric, Obstetric

Orthopedic surgeries include total joints, ORIF, and arthroscopy.

OB / GYN surgeries include cesarean section, LAVH, D&C, and diagnostic laparoscopy.

General surgeries include laparoscopic appendectomy, laparoscopic cholecystectomy, and exploratory laparotomy.

Equipment includes C-arm, Mako robot, ligasure, and harmonic scalpel.

There is no manager or charge nurse on each shift.

Charge nurse does not take an assignment.

Scheduling allows for team / self-scheduling.

Weeknight call requirements : 1-2 call shifts per week based on need.

Weekend call requirements : 1 weekend per month.

Holiday call requirements : On call

Typically, staff do not float unless prior training in other areas.

Scrub color / dress code : Provided

Radius Rule : 50 miles

Required RTO is needed upfront.

Additional RTO will not be approved after submissions.

Cancellation Policy : Facility can cancel up to 4 shifts per assignment.
