Job Description / n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med / Surg Tele position working night shifts with a 1 : 6-1 : 7 ratio and requiring recent travel experience.

/ n / n Responsibilities / n

Work in the MS / Tele unit of an acute care hospital

Night shifts available (3x12s or 4x12s, 7 : 00pm-7 : 00am)

Patient ratios are typically 1 : 6-1 : 7

Every other weekend required

Floating within scope to like units or sister facilities is expected

Epic EMR is used and experience is preferred

Royal blue scrubs are required

Attendance at staff meetings is required

Pre-start modules must be completed as part of onboarding

Locals within 60 miles are accepted at a reduced rate

Previous permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year prior to returning as a traveler

RTO (time off) must be submitted at the time of application and will be approved based on facility needs

Travelers should be aware of hurricane season policies for emergency response team assignment

Free parking is provided on-site

Active SC or compact RN license must be in hand prior to start

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required

Prior travel RN experience is required; first-time travelers will not be considered

Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIHSS certifications required (AHA certified)

Med / Surg experience required

Experience with telemetry and dysrhythmia interpretation and management preferred

Must complete all assigned modules prior to start date

Drivers license and SSN are required for consideration
