LDLS Mechanical Engineering Intern

We are looking for a dynamic, energetic Mechanical Engineering Coop / Intern who is looking to apply his / her knowledge of mechanical components to improve manufacturing processes within the LDLS Division. You will be working closely with the LDLS Operations and Engineering teams.

The primary summer project will focus on the continuous improvement of the LDLS product line. There is also expected to be light design work to support customer specials and proposals.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct support to the Change Management team which involves performing changes to existing engineering documentation as well as creating new documentation.
• Collaboration with the manufacturing and engineering teams on process and design improvements.
• Learn how to apply technical knowledge to improve product designs in real-world scenarios
• Release of documentation through the ECO process.
• Provide light design support for customer specials and proposals as needed.
