Description
ISG, founded in 1973, is a nationally recognized, employee-owned, full service and multidisciplinary firm known for delivering innovative architecture, engineering, environmental, and planning solutions. We are excited to welcome a dynamic, people‑focused Support Specialist to our vibrant Raleigh office. This role is more than day‑to‑day support; it’s an opportunity to become an Employee Owner at ISG and play a meaningful part in how our Raleigh office shows up for our team, our clients, and our community.
Our Support Specialists are truly the heartbeat of our home offices, and in Raleigh, that heartbeat is right in the center of the city’s energy. Located in a highly visible Downtown setting, our office has long been a cornerstone of Raleigh’s growth—here before it was “cool.” Connected directly to Fayetteville Street through an internal stair and shared plaza space, our office serves as a welcoming gateway to Downtown for clients, partners, and visitors alike.
You’ll find ISGers connecting with clients and colleagues just outside our doors; sharing ideas, building relationships, and enjoying the vibrant scene alongside our neighbors at Haymaker and Sir Walter. As the Support Specialist, you’ll help anchor this experience, creating a warm, organized, and engaging environment that reflects ISG’s collaborative, employee‑owned culture.
If you thrive in a role where you can be the go‑to person, take pride in creating great experiences, and want to be part of a firm deeply rooted in its community, we’d love to meet you.
Essential Duties
- Be a welcoming presence. Create a warm, engaging experience for clients, industry partners, and fellow employee owners simply by being present, approachable, and proactive
- Serve as the face of ISG Raleigh, representing our culture and values during business hours and whenever support is needed for our customers, partners, and team
- Partner with our building team by serving as the primary point of contact with the landlord, helping ensure a safe, smooth, and well‑functioning workplace
- Keep our shared spaces shining. Help maintain common areas and studios that are clean, organized, professional, and inviting, while encouraging a shared sense of ownership across the office
- Create great first impressions by greeting visitors, answering questions, and keeping office supplies stocked, organized, and ready to go
- Collaborate with a diverse, talented team to handle administrative tasks with care, discretion, and efficiency
- Bring people together by coordinating meetings and events; reserving and preparing conference spaces, arranging food and refreshments, and helping everything run seamlessly
- Support fleet vehicle coordination as needed to keep things moving smoothly
- Produce polished deliverables by printing and binding high‑quality graphics, proposals, reports, and other materials that represent ISG at its best
- Manage parking access for employee owners and visitors, making arrivals and departures stress‑free
- Assist with local Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable tasks, as needed, to support office operations
- Deliver outstanding customer service by assisting with ISG’s central phone system and directing inquiries with confidence and care
- Embrace variety. Jump into additional duties and special projects as needed, keeping each day fresh and engaging
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or government permitting is a plus, but not required. We value curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn just as much as industry experience
- Exceptional phone presence and customer service skills. You enjoy helping people and know how to make every interaction feel positive and professional
- Highly organized and team‑oriented, with a genuine desire to support others and keep the office running smoothly
- Comfortable taking direction and following through, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel, with confidence navigating everyday office tools
- Positive, adaptable, and solution‑minded; you roll with change and bring a can‑do attitude to whatever the day brings
- Notary certification is a bonus, but not a requirement. We’re happy to support you in obtaining it if needed
We’ve listed a compensation range that reflects our expectations for this role, including both direct and indirect components. We understand that your experience and value may fall outside of this range. If you feel you're a strong fit but your compensation needs differ, we’re open to a conversation—let’s talk.
