Job Summary\n\nPerforms independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties in alignment with accepted practice standards as defined by the State Board of Nursing.\n\nAssesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care for assigned patients.\n\nEvaluates patient health status through ongoing data collection and assessment.\n\nProvides health education, counseling, and supportive or restorative therapy and treatment—either directly to patients or indirectly through consultation, delegation, supervision, or teaching.\n\nExecutes delegated medical functions within scope.\n\nRefers patients for additional evaluation or treatment when appropriate.\n\nReviews, monitors, and updates therapy and treatment plans.\n\nDocuments all care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.\n\nUtilizes hospital resources appropriately and efficiently.\n\nUpholds and promotes the mission, vision, and values of SCL Health and adheres to established service behavior standards.\n\nPerforms additional duties as assigned.\n\nMay be required to float to other departments based on organizational needs (within scope and competency).\n\nMay be assigned on-call responsibilities during regularly scheduled shifts.
