PACE Therapy Aide

Therapy Aide

Under the supervision of the PACE Therapy Manager, the Therapy Aide provides support to the therapy team in the delivery of therapy care to participants. Therapy Aide perform nonmedical tasks, such as setting up and cleaning treatment rooms and transporting patients to different areas of a health care facility.

Essential Functions of the Job :

• Assist with patient intake.
• Preparation of equipment.
• Transporting patients.
• Observing patients.
• Schedule and tracking of Therapy Department logistics.
• Documenting patient's communication, responses, and progress.
• Liaise with physicians' offices and hospital personnel.
• Responsible for setting up equipment and maintaining a clean and functional area for treatment and exercises.
• Assists other staff in carrying out program assignments.
• Provides support and clerical assistance to therapy staff.
• Assists in maintaining patients areas in a clean and orderly manner. Cleans and organizes program areas including cleaning of equipment and shower areas.
• Follows infectious disease precautions to prevent the spread of organisms.
• Attends center staff meetings and in-service educational training programs.
