Job Details - OR RN Travel Assignment Location : Springfield, IL 62781 Assignment Length : 13 weeks Start Date : December 15, 2025 Shifts : 3x12-hour days (06 : 45 - 19 : 15), Friday, Saturday, Sunday; every third weekend is 7p-7a Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $2200-$2260 On-Call : Yes, approximately 1 / week Unit : 23 Operating Rooms (all service lines except CV) Charting System : Cerner Scrub Color : Provided Parking : Free with permit Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 3 years of recent Operating Room RN experience in a Level I trauma center Active Illinois RN license (or in process) BLS certification (AHA or Red Cross) Travel nursing experience required Must reside at least 50 miles from facility Experience with Cerner charting preferred CNOR and CST certifications preferred General OR and trauma nursing experience required Required case experience : Bariatric (laparoscopic), General Surgery (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, colon resection, hernia repair, mastectomy, thyroidectomy, Whipple), Neurology (cervical fusion, craniotomy, laminectomy / discectomy, lumbar fusion), Orthopedic (arthroscopy, carpal tunnel, fracture reduction), Plastic (free flap / microvascular), Transplant (organ donation), Urology (cystoscopy, nephrectomy, prostatectomy), Trauma (amputations, gunshot / stab wounds, MVA) Emergency management skills : code response, fire safety, latex allergy, malignant hyperthermia Equipment experience : electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources / cords, Hana tables Operating Room Nurse Responsibilities Circulate and / or scrub for diverse surgical procedures (excluding CV) as an OR RN Deliver trauma and emergency care in a high-acuity, fast-paced hospital environment Administer blood products and uphold infection control and radiation safety protocols Accurately handle and label surgical specimens Participate in universal protocol (time out) procedures and maintain patient safety Float to other units within skill set as needed Participate in on-call rotation and weekend coverage Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care Apply now to take the next step in your travel nursing career as an Operating Room Registered Nurse in Springfield, IL!
