We are actively seeking an experienced, driven, and customer-focused Industrial Power Generation Service Sales Writer to join our team in a field-based, outside sales role. This position is ideal for someone who understands diesel and natural gas generator systems, thrives on relationship building, and is skilled at identifying and selling service opportunities that keep critical systems running.

• Develop and manage long-term relationships with industrial and commercial clients across industries like data centers, healthcare, utilities, manufacturing, and facilities management.
• Identify and sell service agreements, preventative maintenance plans, emergency response contracts, and repair work for diesel and natural gas generator systems (ranging from 20kW to 2MW+).
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding service needs, contract renewals, upgrades, and technical assessments.
• Work with technicians, project managers, and internal service teams to scope and quote service jobs accurately.
• Provide customers with fast, knowledgeable solutions—including quoting ATS, switchgear maintenance, load bank testing, and emergency support options.
• Maintain accurate CRM records and report on activity, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
• Attend industry events, site visits, customer meetings, and presentations—this is a field-based role.
• Collaborate with service coordinators and dispatchers to ensure smooth service delivery and strong customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years in industrial power generation sales, service coordination, or generator-related technical sales.
• Strong working knowledge of diesel and natural gas generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), and switchgear.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a solution-oriented, consultative sales style.
• Ability to assess complex power systems, explain technical solutions clearly, and work alongside technicians and engineers.
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage your own schedule and client pipeline.
• Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally within the assigned territory.
• Military, generator OEM (Cummins, CAT, Kohler, Generac), or electrical background is a plus.
