DevOps Engineer

Job Title : DevOps Engineer

Duration : Months Contract

Location : Charlotte, NC

Hybrid role - to days onsite / week

Summary :

This person will serve as the subject matter expert responsible for migrating existing Jenkins jobs (CI) to GitHub Actions workflows (CI). The ideal candidate will have experience developing, supporting, and troubleshooting build processes for various software languages, including MS Visual Studio C solutions / projects, Java, , NPM, and C / C++ makefiles.

Responsibilities :

Build infrastructure as code, manage deployments, monitor systems.

Automates software delivery processes and maintains CI / CD pipelines.

Skills :

Experience with tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Jfrog Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms.

Required Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• years of experience in a collaborative software development environment.
• Strong understanding of revision control systems and their role in development, build, testing, and deployment processes; hands-on experience with Git is required.
• In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle and iterative / agile development methodologies.
• Experience with source control, build automation, debugging, deployment, log management, monitoring / alerting, scripting, and software testing.
