I’m representing a leading consultancy that’s looking to strengthen their Water Resources team with an experienced Project Manager in Water Resources based in Houston .
This role is ideal for someone who is interested in complex hydrology & hydraulics work and wants to lead advanced design, modelling, and project delivery across major stormwater, flood, and drainage programmes in the region.
Job Specifications :
Lead engineering design and technical delivery across water resources projects, including :
- Hydrologic & hydraulic modelling (HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ArcGIS)
- Stormwater systems, watershed management & drainage master planning
- Floodplain assessments, mitigation studies, NFIP permitting & map revisions
- Bridge & culvert design, surface water conveyance, and resilience-focused infrastructure
- Development of detailed plans, specifications, calculations, cost estimates & technical reports
- Support permitting packages and construction documentation across full project lifecycle
Additional responsibilities include :
QA / QC reviews and technical oversight on complex projectsCoordination with clients, regulators, and multi-disciplinary teamsMentoring junior staff and supporting internal technical developmentContributing to proposals, presentations, and wider project delivery strategyHelping drive strong project performance across budget, schedule, and quality metricsKey Requirements :
B.S. in Civil or Environmental EngineeringPE licence in Texas10+ years’ experience in water resources engineeringStrong background in H&H modelling, stormwater management, or dam safetyExperience working with TxDOT and / or Harris County Flood Control DistrictProficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and ArcGISAbility to produce engineering drawings and lead complex design tasksStrong communication, problem-solving, and technical reporting skillsExperience managing staff and leading project tasksIf this role is of interest, please apply below and a member of the team will be in contact shortly.
