Southeast Christian Church is seeking a talented and passionate Designer to join our Creative Arts team. The Designer will play a crucial role in supporting the diverse needs of our ministries and marketing team by creating visually compelling materials that effectively communicate our message and values. Reporting directly to the Creative Director of Marketing & Branding, the Designer will collaborate closely with the creative leadership to bring projects to life while ensuring alignment with the church's overarching branding and marketing strategies.

What you’ll be doing:

• Conceptualization and Design : Develop creative concepts and visual designs for various projects, including print materials, digital media, presentations, signage, and promotional items.
• Collaboration : Work closely with the Creative Director of Marketing & Branding and other team members to translate project briefs into visually appealing designs that effectively communicate the church's mission, vision, and values.
• Brand Adherence : Ensure all design work adheres to Southeast Christian Church's branding guidelines, maintaining consistency across all materials and platforms.
• Project Management : Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from concept to completion, while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.
• Stakeholder Communication : Communicate effectively with ministry leaders, marketing personnel, and other internal stakeholders to understand their needs and objectives and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
• Quality Assurance : Conduct thorough reviews of design work to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with project requirements and brand standards.
• Industry Awareness : Stay abreast of current design trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve design quality and relevance.
• Adaptability : Quickly adapt to changing priorities and requirements, adjusting design approaches as needed to meet evolving project objectives and organizational needs.
• Self-Development : Take initiative in seeking out opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement, staying proactive in refining design skills and knowledge.
• Create: Visually appealing designs for various marketing materials such as direct-mail pieces, brochures, flyers, banners, advertisements, presentations, etc.
• Understand: project objectives and develop creative concepts and ideas that align with marketing campaigns and strategies.

Essential Competencies:

• Experience in marketing and campaign design.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) : Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite is essential for a Designer as it serves as the primary toolkit for creating and manipulating visual content across a wide range of mediums. A deep understanding of these software tools is needed to execute content effectively and efficiently.
• Understanding Design Across Various Mediums : Design extends beyond digital platforms and encompasses a diverse array of mediums, including buildings, billboards, apparel, and more. A Designer's ability to conceptualize and adapt designs for different contexts is crucial for ensuring consistency and impact across all touchpoints. For instance:
• Buildings : Design principles are applied to architectural elements, signage, and interior spaces to create visually appealing environments that ensure visitors can navigate our spaces easily and effectively.
• Billboards : Large-format design requires careful consideration of scale, readability, and visual impact to capture attention and convey messages effectively within seconds.
• Branding : Ensure consistency in branding elements such as colors, fonts, and logos across all marketing materials to maintain the brand identity of Southeast.
• An engaged member of Southeast Christian Church or willingness to become one who supports our statement of faith, submits to the leadership established by the church, and lives out our church mantras in tangible ways.
