CNA 7am-3pm (5 shifts / week working every other wknd)

POSITION SUMMARY

Ensures resident safety, cares for residents in theretirement and nursing community under direction of nursing and medical staff,by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensures resident rights, resident safety and residentsecurity is the top priority.
• Answers signal lights, bells, or intercom system todetermine residents' needs.
• Bathes, dresses, and undresses residents.
• Serves and collects food trays and feeds residentsrequiring help.
• Transports residents or assists residents to walk.
• Drapes residents for examinations and treatments, andremains with residents to perform such duties as holding instruments andadjusting lights.
• Turns and repositions bedfast residents, alone or withassistance, to prevent bedsores.
• Changes bed linens, runs errands, directs visitors, andanswers telephone.
• Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse andrespiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.
• Cleans, sterilizes, stores, prepares, and issues dressingpacks, treatment trays, and other supplies.
• Dusts and cleans residents' rooms.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
