The Emergency Medicine Physician will work on a 6-month initial contract in a 55-bed emergency department, providing care to a mixed patient population in a level 1 trauma center. Responsibilities include managing patients and supervising medical residents and students during 8- or 12-hour shifts at a hospital with an annual patient volume of 80,000. The physician will perform all procedures within their scope, utilizing EPIC for patient management in a collaborative environment with support staff.

Patient Population: Mixed volume for a midsize city of 110k. level 1 trauma center. Pediatric hospital. Sexual assault treatment center
Annual Volume: 80k/year adult and peds
Pediatric Volume: 16k
Admission Rate: 27%
Transfer Rate: Who is responsible for Codes: in-house codes/RRT s are covered by an inpatient team 24/7
Typical cases: mixed
Required procedures: All procedures within scope of a BC EM physician
Patient volume: average 2pph
Support staff: 3 year residency, MS 3 and 4 medical students, APPS
