Corporate Tax Manager

Summary

: The Corporate Tax Manager is responsible for all federal, state, and local tax planning and compliance for American Rheinmetall. This role works with outside CPA’s and the CFO to develop efficient tax compliance strategies. Additionally, the Corporate Tax Manager is responsible for annual R&D studies. This role requires deep technical tax expertise including the IRS tax code, sales & use tax rules, state tax filing requirements, etc., along with strong leadership and planning skills. Key Responsibilities:

• Manage all local operational tax compliance matters including notices of payments and tax audits for the Rheinmetall tax groups
• Manage annual and periodic tax obligations, annual and periodic forecasts and calculate current and deferred taxes for financial statements (incl. tax reconciliations)
• Interaction with business functions and corporate management, by supporting internal decision-making processes with tax-related analysis; point of contact for all tax-related matters for the Rheinmetall group tax function
• Support the Rheinmetall companies in the US with tax planning and tax analysis on projects and contracts
• Assist with the completion of transfer pricing arrangements and documentation
• Further development of our tax compliance management system and oversee tax related internal controls

Minimum Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

• Successfully completed business studies with a focus on taxes or comparable training
• Thorough knowledge of US Federal and State income taxation as well as Accounting for Income Taxes
• Currently or previously practiced as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
• Several years of professional experience with sound knowledge of national and international tax law (within a top tier accounting firm, corporate, business consulting or legal environment)
• Ability to effectively communicate with non-financial managers and all levels of personnel

Minimum Education:

• BS in Accounting, Tax, or similar field

• Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
