Industrial CNC Machinist

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining large horizontal CNC mills. This is not high-volume, fixture-based work — each project is unique and requires careful setup, planning, and execution. The ideal candidate will be experienced with independently figuring out setups, including 3-point setups and ensuring parts are positioned in a relaxed state prior to machining.

Responsibilities :

• Perform all CNC machine operation duties on large horizontal mills.
• Review and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and job instructions.
• Program, edit, and adjust CNC programs as needed for job-specific requirements.
• Independently set up workpieces, tooling, and fixtures — including non-fixtured and irregular parts.
• Verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments such as ID / OD micrometers and calipers.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor troubleshooting on assigned machines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to ensure production goals and quality standards are met.
