System Administrator – Managed Service Provider (MSP)

Location : Lake Forest, CA (Onsite with local client travel)

Compensation : $28–$32+ per hour (Approx. $62K–$66.5K annually, DOE)

Schedule : Full-time, hourly (Overtime eligible)

A well-established MSP in Orange County is expanding and seeking a System Administrator to support high-value clients, resolve escalated technical issues, and assist with light project-based work. This role is ideal for a polished, client-facing technician who enjoys working directly with customers, tackling complex problems, and contributing to cloud-focused modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support incoming service desk requests via phone, email, and web portal; ensure timely, courteous resolution.
• Resolve escalated tickets from L1 technicians.
• Provide onsite support for high-value client environments.
• Assist with provisioning and system setup for new hires.
• Use remote tools and diagnostic utilities to troubleshoot issues.
• Support desktop and server OS environments (Windows 7 / 10, Server 2008 / 2012 / 2016, macOS).
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network infrastructure (switches, firewalls, routers).
• Install and manage endpoint security solutions.
• Assist with Microsoft Azure environment administration.
• Manage Microsoft 365 tenant environments.
• Perform Active Directory administration and maintenance.

Required Experience & Skills

MSP industry experience is required.
