Software Engineering Manager

to help build our Physical AI Scientist platform, enabling scientific instruments with human‑level dexterity and autonomous analysis.

The Team :

Mission‑driven engineers from Tesla, Amazon, SpaceX, Neuralink, and more, collaborating fast and enjoying both work and team trips.

Passionate about engineering, robotics, race cars, cooking, and continuous learning.

Opinionated, straightforward, and conflict‑resolved quickly and empathetically.

In this role, you will :

Design and implement user experiences that spark joy for our customers.

Build internal tools to support our robotic fleet efficiently.

Lead and grow a talented team of software engineers.

Let’s talk if you have :

Proficiency with Python and rapid iteration.

Experience building interactive front‑ends with React or similar.

Experience with TypeScript.

Understanding of web programming (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, REST).

Backend system design and implementation experience.

Willingness to wear many hats and adapt to shifting priorities.

Ability to move fast in a loosely defined environment.

Passion for learning and expanding skills.

Experience managing software engineers.

Nice to have :

Experience with database technologies like PostgreSQL and Redis.

Interest and experience in robotics, machine learning, or computer vision, especially with hardware.

This position is 100% in‑person; you must be able to come to our San Francisco office. We offer relocation benefits for suitable candidates.
