Fraud Specialist

FlexStaff is seeking a Fraud Specialist for our client, a full-service banking institution, located in Bethpage, NY.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Independently review, examine, and resolve fraud and merchant dispute claims.
- Monitor member activity and use fraud detection tools to identify and act on potential fraud, escalating emerging trends.
- Contact members as needed to verify information and respond to escalations / complaints.
- Maintain accurate case management systems and monitor fraud tool performance.
- Provide essential support to branches, Contact Center representatives, and other internal fraud / risk teams.
- Participate in risk initiatives and identify potential risk exposures.
- Engage in ongoing training to stay ahead of fraud trends and mitigation strategies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's Degree (preferred).1-2 years comparable experience in fraud, loss mitigation, financial crime, risk management, or financial services.Solid understanding of banking practices, policies, and regulations.Meets requirements for obtaining Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and / or Certified Financial Crimes Investigator (CFCI) certifications.Strong risk analysis skills.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze transaction monitoring rules.Strong collaboration skills to work effectively across business units.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Professional presentation and demeanor.Proven ability to multitask with a high degree of accuracy.High level of self-direction and initiative.DNA experience
