Head Start - Maintenance Worker

100% Onsite - Location : Los Angeles, CA 90056

What We're Looking For :

We are seeking a Maintenance Worker to support our Head Start Program. This position is responsible for ensuring clean, safe, functional facilities by ensuring maintenance activities as well as repair activities are implemented including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, air conditioning / heating, landscaping, and grounds keeping when professional licensure is not required. The most qualified candidate will have the following responsibilities :

RESPONSIBILITIES :

• Completes and assures routine maintenance of buildings, grounds and playground equipment during program breaks and more often, as requested.
• Completes and assures minor plumbing, painting, carpentry and electrical repairs or repair work in assigned facilities, where a professional license is not required.
• Assists and ensures routine maintenance is carried out such as replacing light bulbs, and maintaining equipment used in the course of work.
• Completes and ensures outdoor tasks such as sweeping steps, porches and drives, maintaining parking lot, mowing lawns, trimming shrubs and trees are carried out.
• Collects information; participates in planning and completes upgrading and minor repairs of facilities.
