About The Position

Coverage Details :

Sporadic coverage : Remainder of 2025

Full-time need begins : January 2026

Schedule : Monday – Friday, 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

Call : Weekday call 5 : 00 PM – 8 : 00 AM (unrestricted if able)

Weekend Call : 1 in 4 rotation

Assignment Overview

Practice Setting : Inpatient Psychiatric Department

Average Patients / Day : 12

Total Beds : 27

Psychiatrists in Group : 5

APP Support : 6 Psychiatric NPs (supervision required)

Psychologists : 0

Referrals From : Muskegon & Grand Rapids EDs

Security : 24 / 7 on-site security & staff duress system

Population : Adult only (no pediatrics)

EMR : Epic

Credentialing : Estimated 3 months (ASAP start preferred)

Clinical Focus

Treatment of :

Anxiety Disorders | Affective Disorders | ADD / ADHD | Personality Disorders |

Eating Disorders | Developmental Disorders | Psychotic Disorders | Organic Disorders

Familiarity Required With :

Involuntary Commitments | Seclusion Therapy | Pharmacotherapy | Group Therapy | Restraint Application

Board Certified in Psychiatry – Required

Active Michigan License or IMLC / LOQ – Required

BLS Certification – Required

Availability for Full-Time Coverage Starting January 2026 – Required (no exceptions)
