Job Summary :

As a Motor Vehicle Regulations Technician with American Licensing Service a DISA company you would work in our El Cajon office focusing on providing excellent and prompt customer service. By assisting our clients with various inquiries and requests associated with Dept. of Motor Vehicle (DMV) Title and Registration services involving multiple states and jurisdictions. Applies knowledge to a wide variety of vehicles that includes cars passenger vans commercial vehicles tractor-trailers equipment etc.

Working Hours : Monday - Friday 8 : 00 am - 5 : 00 pm

Working Location : In Office El Cajon CA.

Essential Functions :

Receives customer calls and assists walk in customers with processing DMV applications through proprietary software.

Process documents and applications accurately and timely is critical.

Interpret applies and explains to clients the California Vehicle Code administrative regulations policies and procedures pertaining to the registration and ownership of motor vehicles.

Determines if vehicles are subject to registration and transfer of ownership.

Prepare processing logs other needed documents verifies fees penalties and charges sets up folders.

Ensure full compliance with DMV protocols and requirements. May research information and contact DMV as necessary.

Update and maintain processing logs.

Invoice Clients for services and fees.

May need to visually check vehicles for body type usage and verification of identification (VIN) and license numbers.

Performs other duties as needed.

Key skills & Experience :

High school diploma or GED.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information to clients.

Ability to handle multiple tasks and responsibilities simultaneously.

High level of accuracy in documentation and data entry.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think out of the box patience empathy and interpersonal skills.

Must show initiative and be reliable to work with a high level of independence.

Experience in auto dealership auto auction DMV transportation company or similar service a plus.

Bilingual preferred but not required.

Job Requirement : Live Scan Background Check will be performed.

Physical Requirements :

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to speak hear have close vision distance vision color vision peripheral vision depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Walk (occasionally) sit- up to 8hrs. a day stand (occasionally) use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms able to lift-up to 15lbs.(occasionally).
