Job Description

To contribute news, feature and narrative articles to ODU channels, including ODU News Center. This person will also write, edit and proof copy for Monarch magazine, in addition to marketing and communication materials. This person also will collaborate with the Director of Strategic Communications and Marketing for Research as well as faculty to highlight research and innovation. This role works closely with the editors overseeing Monarch magazine and news content channels.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Considerable knowledge of journalism, communications, marketing and / or technical writing.
• Considerable knowledge of grammar and usage and familiarity with Associated Press style.
• Demonstrated ability to edit, write and proof copy and to work and communicate effectively with others.
