Job Description

The NICU RN provides specialized nursing care to high-risk neonates with complex medical needs. This position involves managing and supporting critically ill newborns with diagnoses including RDS, hypoglycemia, prematurity, rule-out sepsis, and TTN.

Nurses may assist with specialty procedures such as circumcisions, PICC line removal, lumbar puncture support, and eye exams. Responsibilities include monitoring ventilators, giraffe beds, feeding pumps, IV pumps, and administration of medications including iron therapy, vitamin infusions, caffeine, and antibiotics.

Floating may be required based on census to Mother / Child Health, Postpartum, Newborn Nursery, or to serve as a sitter house-wide.
