About the Role

Were seeking Software Engineers (Entry to Senior Level) to design, develop, and enhance complex software systems supporting national defense and intelligence missions. These roles offer the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, from real-time analytics and large-scale data processing to secure system integration and cloud-based development .

Software Engineers will work individually and collaboratively across the full software lifecycle requirements analysis, design, coding, integration, and testing ensuring mission-critical systems operate securely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Depending on level, responsibilities may include :

Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance specifications .

Design, code, test, and integrate new software or enhance existing applications .

Debug, document, and resolve software defects and system issues.

Develop and implement algorithms, data queries, and database interfaces .

Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to meet performance goals.

Conduct software performance analysis and process optimization .

Recommend improvements to software development and documentation standards.

Mentor junior engineers and lead software teams (mid-senior levels).

Implement complex algorithms requiring strict timing and resource management (senior levels).

Serve as technical lead for software teams, overseeing project execution (SWE3).

Level Breakdown SWE0 Entry Level

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or 4 years of experience in lieu).

No prior experience required.

Supports development, debugging, and integration of software systems under supervision.

SWE1 Mid-Level

7+ years of experience in software engineering.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline (or 4 additional years of experience).

Proficient in designing, coding, testing, and implementing software to meet requirements.

May serve as a technical contributor or small team lead .

SWE2 Senior Level

14+ years of experience in software engineering.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or 4 additional years of experience).

Experienced in Python development , CNO environments , and UI / UX web design .

Leads software development teams and ensures adherence to quality and process standards .

Coordinates system installation and performance verification.

SWE3 Expert Level

20+ years of experience in software engineering.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field (or 4 additional years of experience).

Serves as technical lead across multiple software teams , ensuring design integrity, performance, and security.

Recommends new technologies and development methodologies for complex software projects.

Deep expertise in Python , CNO , UI / UX , and database / repository interface development .

Technical Focus Areas (varies by role)

Programming Languages : Python, C / C++, Java, JavaScript

Environments : Linux, Windows, Cloud-based and distributed systems

Tools : Git, Jenkins, Eclipse, JIRA, Maven, RESTful APIs

Domains : CNO environments (RAMPANTTORCH / SHADOWSCIENCE) , data repository interfaces , UI / UX web design , real-time systems
