Registered Nurse Per Diem

Note : The compensation range(s) in the table below represent the base salaries for all positions at a given grade across the health system. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.

The Medicine Units at Baystate Health are highly specialized and will be the foundation of a successful nursing career.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION :

Springfield 2 serves a wide variety of patients aged 22 to 100 + with common diagnoses that may include : acute or chronic conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, infections processes, behavioral health, neurological & circulatory impairment, kidney disease, and diabetes.

The unit has 32 beds, 16 semi-private rooms, and they have completed several nurse driven change projects including activity / mobility tool, acuity-based assignments, capacity management workflow, and foley utilization.

The Manager is dedicated to professional growth and the nursing model of care, and the unit has a close partnership with Physician Medical Director.

SCHEDULE : Per Diem

All per diem staff will work a minimum of 36 hours total in a 6-week schedule period. This must include 1 12-hour weekend shift and be available for (1) 12-hour shift for a major holiday a year.

Pay :

New Grad RN (0-1 year of RN Licensure) $41.00

Experienced RN (1+ years of RN Licensure) $43.16-$65.00

QUALIFICATIONS :

Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts

Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.

Experience : Minimum 1 year RN experience required.

Education : AND required; BSN preferred.
