School Psychologist ($3000 bonus eligible)

Location : DENTON, TX 76201

Birch Agency is seeking a qualified, licensed, and dedicated School Psychologist for our client in the Denton, TX area to conduct comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations on a regular basis. The individual will also provide psychological services to support student learning and development.

Education and Qualifications :

• Masters Degree
• PhD (preferred)
• Valid Texas license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology
• Texas licensure as a Psychologist or working towards licensure

Major Responsibilities and Duties :

Assessment and Evaluation

Conduct comprehensive individual psycho-educational evaluations for referrals and three-year re-evaluations within timelines as prescribed by law.

Conduct student observations in general education and special education classrooms.

Maintain current knowledge regarding research, development, and technology in the field of individual evaluation relating to student eligibility for special education services.

Consultation and Collaboration

Provide leadership to the campus in the Pre-Referral Process, ARD Process, Child Find procedures, and Confidentiality of Student Records.

Provide leadership to the campus multidisciplinary evaluation in the placement process.

Conduct in-service training and consultative services for general and special education teachers.

Student Support and Intervention

Provide leadership in the development and monitoring of individual student behavior improvement plans.

Provide direct services to students eligible for psychological services as a related service.

Provide parents progress reports related to students identified IEP goals and objectives on a six-week basis.
