Job Summary
The Internal Agency Physical Therapist (PT) evaluates and treats patient in acute, post-acute, and outpatient settings throughout CoxHealth facilities. The PT treats patients of all ages as ordered. PT staff assist patients to reach their highest level of functioning and make recommendations for the next level of care. The physical therapist plans and implements prevention, habilitation, and / or rehabilitation services including mobility devices, counseling and orientation for mobility, pain relief, increasing strength, and improving or correcting disabling conditions. Internal Agency Physical Therapists participate in a rotation to various units, hospitals, and / or outpatient settings as determined by Therapy Services leadership. Schedules for the IA PT will be determined by area and day of greatest need and will include weekends and holidays.
Direct care staff are required to complete all Hip and Knee Replacement Program curriculum and the annual education module(s) assigned.

Education
Required : Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy ProgramPreferred : Masters or Doctorate from an accredited program of Physical TherapyExperience
Preferred : 2 years of experience in Physical TherapySkills
Good clinical expertise, communication skills, human relations skills and organizational skills required.Self-motivated individual who can work independently with little direct supervision requiredHas demonstrated interest in professional growth by attendance at continuing education workshops, and applications of new principles and / or techniques.Licensure / Certification / Registration
Required : Active Missouri licensure for Physical Therapy.
