We are seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Analys t in Houston, TX to support our client's Product Management team. This role plays a key part in analyzing global supply and demand drivers to determine market impact and guide commercial decisions and strategy for North America.
Location : Houston, TX (Galleria area)
Role Type : Full-Time, Direct Hire
Schedule : Monday-Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. - 5 : 00 pm
Key Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with the Product Manager to develop and maintain a comprehensive overview of the North American chemical and commodity market, including supply, demand, and competitive dynamics
- Gather and analyze economic data to identify and interpret key demand drivers and market trends
- Lead the monthly demand forecasting process for North America and reconcile forecasts with internal sales data
- Provide detailed analysis and reporting on demand forecasts, sales portfolio performance, and market developments to support strategic planning
- Maintain accurate market intelligence databases, capturing supply and demand assumptions, operating capabilities, and key economic indicators
- Analyze and report on trade statistics, including import / export activity and competitor positioning, to inform strategy and pricing decisions
- Conduct competitive analysis to anticipate and interpret competitor strategies and market moves
- Monitor and summarize intelligence on new projects, capacity changes, and emerging market shifts
- Support monthly pricing processes by consolidating market feedback and assisting in the development of pricing recommendations
