Spare Parts & Inventory Project Specialist
Belcan is seeking a Spare Parts & Inventory Project Specialist to support a critical equipment readiness and inventory optimization initiative. This project focuses on identifying essential equipment needs, evaluating spare parts strategies, and helping define crash kit hardware to reduce downtime and improve operational resilience. This role requires a hands-on problem solver with experience in inventory control, procurement processes, and maintenance support. The ideal candidate brings a tactical mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across technical and operational teams.
Job Duties :
- Assess critical equipment and identify essential spare parts to support uptime and reliability
- Assist in defining and building crash kits for rapid response during unplanned maintenance events
- Evaluate existing spare parts inventory practices and recommend improvements to stock levels, organization, and tracking
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to understand part usage patterns and forecast needs
- Work with approved suppliers to source parts, balancing cost, lead time, and quality
- Support documentation, labeling, and cataloging efforts to ensure inventory traceability
- Use data to identify consumption trends and improve inventory accuracy
- Assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings without compromising availability or performance
Qualifications :
3 or more years of experience in spare parts, inventory management, or supply chain supportWorking knowledge of mechanical / electrical components used in facility or manufacturing equipmentExperience with CMMS, ERP, or inventory tracking systemsStrong organization and communication skills, with a proactive, collaborative approachFamiliarity with lean tools such as 5S, Kanban, or visual management systemsAPICS CPIM certification or similar is a plusDue to the nature of the work US Citizenship requiredDesired Skills (Not Required) :
Prior experience supporting maintenance, reliability, or facilities operationsBackground in technical procurement or vendor coordinationExperience in consulting or contract roles involving supply chain or operations projectsBelcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package. Salary guidelines for similar roles at Belcan are $30.00-35.00 per hour.
