WorkSolved Staffing is hiring for Packagers on 1st Shift in the Walker area. These are temp-to-hire positions working for a local Steel Distribution facility. Opportunities for advancement right from the start, company promotes from within.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Use a bander and poly strapping to package units of metal to wood skids.
  • Train to use overhead crane.
  • Safely operate machinery and where proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times

Qualifications :

  • Experience of at least 1 year in an manufacturing setting.
  • Solid work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to cross train in different operations
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds without assistance; occasional up to 80 lbs. with or without assistance
  • Ability and willingness to read and follow written and verbal instructions
  • Pay rate : 1st Shift $19.00
  • 30-minute lunch and 2 15-minute breaks
  • 1st Shift 5 : 30am to 3 : 30pm (Overtime often required on Saturdays.)
  • Moderate paced work
