Human Resources Generalist
Location: Fridley, MN Compensation: $24$31.25 paid weekly Schedule: Day shift | MondayFriday | Standard business hours Job Type: Contract-to-Hire | Full-time
About the Opportunity Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a global leader in thermal solutions and high-reliability technologies, to hire a Human Resources Generalist at their Fridley, MN headquarters. In this role, youll support a fast-paced, innovative environment by delivering expertise in HR operations, talent acquisition, employee relations, training, compensation, and compliance.
What Youll Do as a Human Resources Generalist:
- Support key HR functions including staffing, employee development, employee relations, performance management, compensation, and recognition programs
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Participate in sourcing, interviewing, and selecting talent across the organization
- Assist with performance appraisals and employee development programs
- Conduct job market research, pay surveys, and compensation assessments
- Advise leadership on total compensation and recommend adjustments as needed
- Partner with managers to resolve employee relations matters promptly and consistently
- Represent HR in a professional, approachable manner while supporting employee engagement
- Respond to complex HR-related questions and concerns from employees
- Manage performance management cycles and ensure job descriptions and career paths are updated
- Conduct exit interviews and analyze trends
- Support employee benefits administration and field benefit-related inquiries
- Assist with compliance programs including EEO and OSHA reporting
- Perform additional HR projects and responsibilities as assigned
What You Need to Bring to the Human Resources Generalist Role:
- 1-3 years of Human Resources experience
- Knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and best practices
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Strong communication skills and experience resolving employee questions and concerns
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments
- Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
- Professionalism, integrity, and strong interpersonal communication
- Flexibility and adaptability in a changing environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting the full HR life cycle (recruiting, onboarding, performance management, compensation, training, etc.)
- Ability to create and deliver HR-related training content
- Experience interpreting policies, procedures, and state/federal employment regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR systems (e.g., Dayforce HRIS, iCIMS ATS)
