Machine Operator

Sika is looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join its growing team in the Canton MA area for our Roofing business.

The Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring successful operation of their respective part of the M48 spreadcoating line. Their primary function will be to ensure the safe and proper operation of a designated portion of the M48 spreadcoating line.

• Oversee startup shutdown and operation of key pieces of equipment
• Communicate effectively and in a professional manner with the team
• Basic troubleshooting of equipment and knowledge of how to handle specific situations / issues
• Communicate issues and concerns to both maintenance and management
• Identify hazards and anomalies in the process and communicate them to the appropriate parties
• Maintain a positive relationship with both Maintenance and Quality Assurance and seek them out when needed
• Responsible for cleanliness and safe operation of designated work area
• Daily attendance at a pre-shift starter meeting is required
• Engagement in SikaSafe safety program required
• Relieve operators for breaks
