American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with Level 1 trauma and neuro experience for a flexible rotating shift assignment requiring a WA or compact RN license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a 25-bed Level 1 Trauma Center operating room at a teaching and Magnet-status hospitalPrimary cases include ortho, spine, and neuro with additional service lines; no cardiac or transplant casesRotating day and night 12-hour shifts with variable start times; weekends requiredNo block scheduling available; must be flexible to meet unit needsNo floating outside the operating roomNo on-call responsibilitiesPatient caseload ranges from 60 to 70 casesUses Epic for charting; experience preferred but not requiredMedication system is PyxisResponsibilities include circulating in the operating room for trauma, ortho, spine, and neuro casesFirst-time travelers are acceptedTravelers must be willing to work both weekends and various shift times as scheduledScrubs are provided by the facilityNo requests for time off (RTO) are allowed during orientation; overall RTO is limited to 6 daysParking options include onsite and offsite paid lots with shuttle service Monday through FridayLocal candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers\n \n Requirements\n
Active WA or compact RN license required; pending licensure not accepted (compact license holders must apply for WA licensure and complete WA requirements)Current BLS certification requiredMinimum 2 years of OR RN experience including Level 1 trauma and neuroCirculating skills requiredCOVID-19 vaccination and booster requiredAbility to provide proof of required documents for considerationFormer staff must be separated by at least 18 months before returning\n Benefits\n
