Job Overview

ECU Health Physicians provides state of the art care for patients in eastern North Carolina through a cancer care network of university faculty and hospital employed physicians in a hub and spoke model of care.

• Hospital privileges at ECU Health Medical Center, a 974-bed academic medical center, and the home to eastern North Carolina u2019s only American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer accredited Academic Comprehensive Cancer Center
• Growing clinical neuroscience team inclusive of 10 neurosurgeons, including dual-trained cerebrovascular specialists and 20 + neurologists including an interventional neurologist, 4 vascular neurologists, 4 neurointensivists and 13 subspecialty neurologists. The subspecialties include pediatric neurology, epilepsy, movement disorders, headache, neuromuscular, sleep medicine, intraoperative monitoring and neuro-oncology.
• ECU Health Medical Center has a 24-bed NSICU led by Neurointensivists as well as a 75-bed CARF accredited rehabilitation center providing inpatient and outpatient support to neurology patients
• Opportunity to participate in a 9-hospital system of cancer care with 5 COC accredited sites sharing a common medical record and planned COC Network status
• Established clinical trials program through ECU Health and East Carolina University u2019s Brody School of Medicine, Members Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology In addition to a competitive compensation and benefits plan, qualified applicants may also be eligible for loan repayment, sign-on bonus, income guarantees, and residency / fellowship paid commitment stipends ECU Health Physicians includes an academic practice model (ECU employment) and a community practice model (health system employment). The successful candidate will join an established multidisciplinary team that includes specialists in neurology, neurosurgery, radiosurgery, hematology oncology, radiation oncology, neuroradiology and neuropathology.
