We are looking for an experienced Controller to manage the financial operations of a manufacturing company in Kansas City, Kansas. Responsibilities :

• Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory accounting, and general ledger management.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to deliver accurate and timely financial reports.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance reports for management review.
• Develop and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Perform cost accounting tasks, including standard cost development, margin analysis, and bill of materials review.
• Coordinate and communicate with external auditors, ensuring smooth audit processes.
• Supervise tax compliance and filings, collaborating with external tax advisors when necessary.
• Optimize financial workflows and systems, including Business Central, to improve efficiency and troubleshooting.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to create financial models, dashboards, and reports that support strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with leadership to drive long-term financial planning, capital investment strategies, and operational improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Controller or senior accounting manager, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, cost accounting principles, and inventory management.
• Hands-on expertise with Business Central or similar ERP systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, macros, and complex functions.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with a track record of improving processes and delivering actionable financial insights.
• Familiarity with budgeting, forecasting, and financial statement preparation.
