Our client, an Am Law 200 firm, is seeking a Mid-Level Commercial Real Estate Associate to join its Charleston office. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated real estate transactions with a diverse mix of developers, investors, lenders, and institutional clients.
About the Role
The Commercial Real Estate Associate will handle a broad range of transactional matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, financings, preferred and common equity investments, leasing, development, zoning, land use, and joint venture structuring. The attorney will provide counsel to developers and investors, as well as represent lenders in real propertysecured financings. Responsibilities include negotiating and drafting complex agreements and representing clients in zoning appeals, property tax assessments, and workforce housing matters.
What Were Looking For
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in commercial real estate with the ability to independently manage and close transactions. A background working with developers, lenders, and institutional clients is highly valued.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
4+ years of commercial real estate experience at a top 200 law firm
Experience running deals with partner support
Strong background in real estate finance, zoning, entitlement, and land use
Experience negotiating and drafting real estate transaction agreements
Experience representing developers, lenders, and institutional clients
Admission to the South Carolina Bar (or eligibility to obtain)
