A company is looking for a Medical Customer Service Representative who provides phone support to members of various benefit plans.
Key Responsibilities
Answer over 50 calls daily regarding claims and benefit questions, providing solutions and verifying eligibility
Communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment, including managing frustrated callers and resolving complaints
Document all call details clearly and concisely while ensuring timely follow-up as needed
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Practical knowledge of medical terminology and diagnosis / procedure coding is desired
Experience in claim processing or prior customer service, preferably in a medical / dental office
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ability to type a minimum of 25 wpm
Ability to maintain confidentiality and work well under pressure in a dynamic environment
