Join Our Dynamic Outpatient PreOp PACU Team!\n\nJob Description:\n\n- Position: Registered Nurse in Outpatient PreOp PACU\n- Shifts: Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00) \n- Specialty: Operating Room\n- Experience Required: Minimum 1 year\n- No Weekend Shifts: Enjoy your weekends free!\n- Flexible Start Date: ASAP; primarily work 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with occasional shifts from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM\n- Patient Age Groups: Experience with Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, and Geriatrics\n\nResponsibilities:\n\n- Deliver exceptional patient care in the PreOp and PACU Phase I and II\n- Conduct pre-op assessments and education\n- Administer pre-op medications and manage post-operative care\n- Perform medication reconciliation and provide discharge instructions\n- Monitor patients undergoing various surgical procedures\n- Float to the Main PACU if required\n\nSkills and Certifications:\n\n- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (preferred)\n- Skills: \n - Preferred: \n - Experience in Inpatient & Ambulatory/Outpatient settings\n - Familiarity with pain assessment & management\n - Proficient in monitoring anesthesia types (Conscious Sedation, General Anesthesia, Local, MAC)\n - Knowledgeable in hyperglycemia/hypoglycemia protocols\n - Experience with medications including narcotic/opioid analgesics and reversal agents\n- Proficiency in Epic charting system preferred\n\nUnit Details:\n\n- Daily Census: Approximately 10 patients\n- Number of Rooms: 4\n- Patient Diagnoses: All outpatient surgeries including general, orthopedic, and urology\n- Interdisciplinary Support: Access to Interpretation Services\n\nWhy Catalytic Solutions (CatSol): \nAt CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
