Senior Member Of Technical Staff
As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will own the software design and development for major components of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure. You should be a rock-solid developer, driven problem solver and have experience supporting large scale data planes. You should be well versed in design and techniques to debug and dive deep on low level systems such as networking architecture, Docker, and Terraform as well as having broad knowledge on distributed systems and their interactions. As a Senior engineer the expectation is that you are a team player and leader who is not afraid to step into mentorship and take point on complex design and operational challenges.
Qualifications :
- 3 - 5+ years' experience delivering and operating large scale, highly available distributed systems.
- Strong knowledge of a base language such as Java, with a preference for functional programming language such as Scala.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Experience with tools such as Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
- Deep knowledge with networking protocols (TCP / IP, HTTP) and network architectures.
- Ability to design, troubleshoot and maintain networking infrastructure for high throughput use cases.
- Strong understanding of databases, storage, and distributed persistence technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
- Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure a strong plus.
