PURPOSE

Responsible for evaluating, analyzing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the organizations’ Workday Finance system. Ensure system work flows and processes align with business and compliance requirements. Serve as a technical point of contact; work with subject matter experts to ensure optimal system performance, data integrity and workflow efficiency. Give technical guidance and direction to administrative and functional staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Supports critical system maintenance, tickets and operational tasks within Workday Finance, including researching, testing, and implementing solutions to system problems, unexpected results or process flaws; Translate business objectives and user needs into clearly written technical requirements
• Maintain finance business processes, data mapping, procedures & systems configuration (e.g. workflow rules, tenant configuration, security, Adaptive budgeting, FDM) and assist with the implementation of business requirements for configuration adjustments.
• Partner with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for system and process improvement
• Gather requirements from stakeholders to interpret system change requests; develop actionable steps with focus on process efficiency, effectiveness and user acceptance
• Evaluate system issues and upgrades (e.g. Workday releases); Present recommendations or alternative methods for resolution to Workday Finance Lead; collaborate with manager to prioritize requests based on rank of optimal value to the organization and strategic initiatives
• Conduct training, including developing user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train users and subject matter experts on new processes / functionality
• Develop and document work flow processes for Finance, cross functional and other relevant transactions. Update documentation as needed, routinely or, with system changes

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Sciences or related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience : Minimum of 4 years in a functional or technical support role in a customer-focused, fast-paced environment. Prior experience utilizing various ERP systems and applications.

Mental : Must have excellent communication, comprehension, and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to speak, read, write and understand English.
