Tokio Marine HCC, a member of the Tokio Marine Group of Companies, has an exciting growth opportunity for an Underwriting Manager in the Phoenix, AZ region.

Position Responsibilities

We are seeking an Underwriting Manager to join our highly collaborative team of underwriters. The Underwriting Manager will manage surety business development activities, production, and underwriting within the Phoenix, AZ region.

Performance Objectives and Timeline

During the first 30 days : Get to know the TMHCC Surety Group team, get up to speed on our systems, surety underwriting policies, procedures and philosophy, and internal resources.

During the first 3 months : Establish and build agency relationships, manage the regional underwriting of commercial surety bonds.

During the first 6 months and beyond : Develop business objectives, implement strategies to grow the regional surety business.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, a related field, or the equivalent education and / or experience

Success characteristics : Collaborative, team-first perspective; Excellent analytical and documentation skills; Keen eye for accuracy, details, thoroughness; Customer service mindset responsive with external customers and internal colleagues; Excellent organizational skills; Excellent, clear written and verbal communication skills
