POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to join a small team in charge of upholding the cleanliness and maintenance of apartment buildings. You will be heavily involved in the general maintenance of apartment this role you will need to be professional and able to work independently and responsibly while observing all health and safety guidelines. Your responsibilities may include painting cleaning basic plumbing and repairs. You should have experience utilizing a multitude of tools and an understanding of basic maintenance issues. Previous experience as a technician or carpenter and knowledge of HVAC would be an advantage.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Inspect alarm systems (fire protection) and schedule repairs when needed
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks replace windows etc.)
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
• Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting carpentry etc.)
• Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
• Other assigned duties
