Job Description

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the preparation of foods according to prescribed menus and recipes. The role involves following established schedules and processes in cooking, sanitation, and related activities, as well as cleaning and sanitizing all food preparation equipment to ensure it is safe and operable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to prescribed menus and recipes.
• Conduct taste and temperature tests for each meal.
• Perform quality control by checking all fresh and prepared foods and storage methods.
• Clean and sanitize all food areas and preparation equipment, ensuring they are safe and operable.
• Assist in developing new recipes and methods of preparation.
• Prepare food for delivery to other areas of the campus.
• Open and close cafeteria according to department procedures.
• Work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
