Higher education degree desirable. 3-5 years' experience, or equivalent knowledge / education preferable in : Manufacturing environment; Planning; Project Management (CAPM / PMP certified). Product specific knowledge for each department preferable (BOPs, Top Drives, Motion Compensation, Rig Floor Equipment, etc.). Computer proficiency required - Must have heavy experience with Microsoft Excel. ERP experience preferred - must have the ability to learn different programs. Some mechanical knowledge preferred. Ability to read & interpret blueprints and drawings preferred. Ability to pass a drug screen & background check. Must have flexible availability (overtime and weekends may be required). Must be able to work under pressure to achieve deadlines. Ability to meet or exceed standards as established by the department. Ability to adapt and be cross-trained to learn all job duties. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong organizational and time management abilities. Self-motivated. Must be capable of managing multiple priorities and projects at the same time. Superior interpersonal and communication skills. Primary Duties & Responsibilities :
- Approve, release and monitor status of production and purchase requisitions.
- Develop and provide input to manufacturing build plan.
- Develop priorities and communicate support functions while taking an active role in problem resolution as required.
- Coordinate with all shop departments to ensure proper inventory levels - maintain knowledge of plant operations and equipment design in order to plan properly.
- Review and release work orders per the system demand, manage the system recommended messages, as well as maintain work order dates that adhere to the metrics for the organization.
- Periodically review non-conformances and engineering changes to rework any work orders as required.
- Regularly update work order due dates based on fluctuations in in-house capacity and the delivery schedules from vendors.
- Keep planning manager aware about applicable changes that would affect the lead time of the part so that the system can be kept up-to-date.
- Regularly monitor and update safety stock levels in the system when necessary.
- Create / Modify shop work routers.
- Verify proper closure of workorders after repair is complete.
- Communicate with CRR on job status and workflow.
- Provide quality service by following organization standards.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
- Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.
