Job Summary
The C&J Nyheim Plasma Institute (NPI) at Drexel University invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track assistant research professor position in Plasma Engineering. The successful candidate will assist on grant-funded projects with investigators at NPI and create their own independent line of research. This is a non-tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Research Professor with yearly approvals based on available funding and satisfactory performance. Candidates for this position must have a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemcial Engineering, or closely related fields and have expertise and research experience in the following : Gliding arc discharges, plasma assisted tar reformation, and plasma assisted water decontamination (for eg : PFAS). The start date for the position is September 11, , or as soon as the position is filled.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3+ years of prior research experience or graduate studies in the following areas : Applications of gliding arc discharges
Plasma assisted tar reformation
Plasma assisted water decontamination etc.
Preferred Qualifications
Studies in the following areas : Applications of gliding arc discharges
Plasma assisted water decontamination etc.
