Shift

1st shift, typically working 10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday with varying Friday schedules.

Job Summary

Woodworker / Cabinet Builder : The role requires meeting quality standards and deadlines, with flexibility to work weekends and extra hours if needed.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate woodworking machines such as power saws to cut and shape lumber
  • Trim component parts of joints using hand tools like planes, chisels, or wood files
  • Sand and scrape surfaces and joints in preparation for finishing
  • Install hardware like hinges, catches, drawer pulls, and knobs
  • Build fixtures, displays, trellis, and other wood items
  • Make cut lists and build custom wedges, merchandisers, and fillers
  • Operate table saw and miter box for custom fixtures
  • Use hand tools, drills, sanders, nail guns, and routers
  • Turn in labor and materials for projects and keep work area clean
  • Perform other related duties as needed

Preferred Skills

  • 1-3 years' experience in construction or building
  • Ability to work under deadline constraints and meet quality standards
  • Proven mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read and write instructions, manuals, and reports
  • Problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility to work weekends and extra hours if needed
  • Interpreting blueprints and shop drawings (not required but beneficial)
