Heavy Equipment Operator:
Location: Englewood, CO 80110
Pay: $25-32/hr., Depending on Experience
Shift Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM (flexible depending on job needs)
Job Type: Direct Hire (Permanent from Day 1)
Experience: 2+ Years operating excavators, mini-excavators, and skid steers in residential or commercial excavation.
Our client is a fast-growing plumbing and excavation company seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join their team. This role is critical for completing sewer, septic, and water line repair projects in residential and light commercial settings. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, experienced with multiple pieces of heavy equipment, and capable of towing, transporting, and operating equipment efficiently on job sites.
Heavy Equipment Operator Responsibilities: - Equipment Operation
- Operate excavators, mini-excavators, and skid steers safely and efficiently.
- Perform digging, trenching, grading, and site preparation for sewer, septic, and water line repairs.
- Transport equipment safely between job sites using trailers.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment.
- Report equipment issues or safety concerns immediately.
- Job Site Responsibilities
- Work with project teams to understand excavation plans and project requirements.
- Follow underground utility safety protocols, including locating utilities before digging.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials, shoveling, compacting, and backfilling as needed.
- Safety & Compliance
- Follow all OSHA and company safety policies.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. Heavy Equipment Operator Requirements:
- 2+ years operating excavators, mini-excavators, and skid steers in residential or commercial excavation.
- Experience towing and transporting heavy equipment with trailers.
- Strong knowledge of underground utilities, trenching, and excavation best practices.
- Valid driver's license (CDL A) Required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding work.
- Strong attention to safety and detail.
