Job Description

As a Security Officer - Armed Government Patrol Full-Time in Miami, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will interact with the public and staff, providing outstanding customer service and communication. This armed position is ideal for those who value teamwork, integrity, and innovation, and want to make a meaningful impact in their community every day.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the assigned location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other designated areas for unusual or suspicious activity, reporting observations as required.
  • Work closely with local law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary, following established protocols.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on all incidents, observations, and activities during the shift.
  • Maintain readiness and proper handling of assigned firearms and security-related equipment in accordance with company and site-specific guidelines.
  • Stay informed of site-specific procedures and updates to provide consistent and knowledgeable service to clients and visitors.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have 3 or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or possess a college degree.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license.
  • Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
