SOL is seeking to fill a critical position with an experienced, professional Engineering Manager who will be located at our Memphis, Tennessee, Huntsville, Alabama OR Jackson, Mississippi office.  This position will have two to six direct reports consisting of other PE's, non-licensed engineers, and technicians. We desire an energetic, knowledgeable professional for this exciting role of leading our SMLP group. The Engineering Manager should have fifteen plus years of civil engineering experience specializing in infrastructure improvement projects in some of the following areas : water resources, wastewater treatment, transportation and transit systems design, stormwater management, site plan development, environmental support, and flood reduction / drainage system improvements. Specifically, the Engineering Manager will continuously organize, plan, oversee, and manage the efficient utilization of resources (personnel, equipment, tools, processes) and the profitable delivery of projects throughout every phase (problem identification, scope development, preliminary & final design, construction administration and project closeout) of a portfolio of projects. The Engineering Manager will ultimately ensure that proper resources are procured and utilized to ensure high quality services are consistently delivered in a timely, safe, and environmentally friendly manner.
